The church is situated on a hill in the central street of the village. Inclined inward (or toward different sides) walls, curved outlines and certain squatness give an air of attractive archaism to the church, so it really looks to be almost three hundred years old. Embossed ornamentation on the tin roof smoothes over the dissonance between wood and metal. In general the Dormition church looks picturesque and harmonious; it's a pity we couldn't get inside.

The picture on the left isn't an optical illusion; this vestibule really protrudes a few degrees up relatively to the main structure of the church.

View from south (MTA, v. 1, p. 147]

[ПГА, т.1, с.146]: Расположена на возвышении в центре села. Церковь деревянная на каменном фундаменте. Трехсрубная трехкупольная позднее расширена за счет пристройки с юга и севера - невысоких приделов, с запада - тамбура. К апсиде примыкает с юга небольшая пристройка, Срубы перекрыты восьмигранными куполами без барабана, что делает силуэт здания несколько приземистым. Стены вертикально ошалеваны, на фасадах приделов - портики. Необычность композиции здания ставит его в ряд интересных памятников деревянной архитектуры Правобережной Украины.
